So you have seen the beautiful Megan showing off her baby bump in a previous post of mine, well now it is time to meet the little bundle of Joy – Gabriel. I am so happy that I could have shared these moments with Megan and Kris and I do wish them happiness and blessings as they embark on this new chapter in their lives.
Here are some of the photographs that I took of them at their home in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.
I met Kris and Megan at a corporate event that I photographed and I got the chance to speak to them and found out that they are the loveliest couple. So when I saw them again a couple of month after the event, I found out that Megan is pregnant and that they are awaiting the arrival of their little boy. Soon after that, they contacted me and well, the rest is history. I got the opportunity to photograph them on a beautiful farm just outside Wellington, South Africa and boy, the venue was amazing…see for yourself
What a great experience it was to photograph they Hendricks Family in the beautiful Newlands Forest. The coolest thing is that I actually met Lemiez (the mommy) about 15 months ago while she was pregnant at a corporate event that I photographed at the Fire and Ice Hotel in Cape Town. Little Zakariya was soooo cute and awesome to work with. What was awesome was to see the love that radiated from this family, and that makes what I so worth it.
And now, here is a sneak peek of the shoot. More images to follow.
“Where there is no vision, there is no hope.” – George Washington Carver. This is sooooo true when you look at what Optometrist. They give people that are struggling to see the hope to see better. And that is why I felt part of something “bigger” than myself when I was approached by Valentin & Co Optometrist in Cape Gate Shopping Centre to do their photography for their website as they wanted to update their site with some more recent images. This is what the final product looked like Continue reading →
I had the great opportunity to be a part of Catrine and Altus’s life and share in the excitement of their baby boy that soon will be ariving, Barry. We shot at the beautiful Boschenmeer Golf Estate, just out of … Continue reading →
This was one of the most intimate weddings that I have shot in my time as a wedding and portrait photographer. Just family…and me. The wedding celebrations were held in the beautiful West Coast town of Paternoster right on the beach.
This is just a sneak peek and please be make sure to come back again for more in a few weeks.
Believe it or not, but I actually have two lives that I live. No, I am not a work geek by day and the Dark Knight at night, but I have a day job with Northlink College where I assist with the Photography (bet you did not see that coming), Videography (Yes, I can do that too), PR and Social Media. But every now and again I get asked to operate and play with the big boys (and girl) of the College…the Executive Management and I recently took their corporate profile photographs for the website and annual reports. This was fun…
What a great experience it was to have had the opportunity to photograph my lifelong friend, Johan, his beautiful wife Jolanie and their son Sion at the beautiful Garden Route Botanical Gardens in George. I knew Johan from when I was only 6 months old and he was 7 months in the church and since then we have been friends for years. It truly was a great blessing to take these images with them.
I met Simone and Johan on the day of their shoot and although they both were quite shy and soft spoken they quickly warmed up to me (and my camera). Johan is actually great swimmer and was even part of the South African Paralympic Team and is currently busy preparing to take part in next year’s Paralympics. The sea, sand and the Mountain all made for a great day with lots of laughs and sooo much fun between Simone (that although she still was quite shy still gave me some awesome smiles and laughs) and Johan. They will be getting married in February 2016 and I look forward to sharing the day with them.
So…as you all know…family is a big part of my life and the value of a family is immeasurable in my life. And I have had the opportunity to shoot this whole family and extended family during their family get-together at Wineberg Park. Everyone, young and old was there and here are some of the shots that stood out for me on the day.
